Possible Always Receives Letter of Support from the Peer Support Coalition of Florida
Possible Always is honored to have received a letter of support from the Peer Support Coalition of Florida, a statewide network advancing peer support, peer leadership, and recovery-oriented practice across Florida.
Since 2016, the Coalition has played an important role in strengthening the peer support movement by supporting peers, aspiring Certified Recovery Peer Specialists, and certified professionals through training, education, continuing education, leadership development, career resources, and connection to opportunities in the field.
Their work reflects the core values of peer support: mutuality, empowerment, dignity, hope, and the belief that lived experience is a powerful source of connection, healing, and systems transformation.
In its letter, the Coalition expressed support for the Possible Always vision to strengthen Florida’s 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline system through a dedicated statewide 988 backup center integrated with peer-led recovery support and a peer warmline.
The Coalition also recognized our commitment to peer leadership, workforce wellbeing, and recovery-oriented practice, noting that our approach aligns with Florida’s vision for a Recovery-Oriented System of Care by bridging crisis response with ongoing recovery support and centering lived experience as an asset.
This recognition reflects the kind of collaboration Possible Always believes is essential to building a stronger crisis care continuum: one where peer leaders, crisis providers, recovery organizations, and community partners work together to ensure people are met with connection, dignity, and a pathway forward.
We are grateful for the Peer Support Coalition of Florida’s leadership and continued work to advance peer support, recovery, resilience, and community integration across the state.
Their letter of support affirms the importance of building crisis care systems where lived experience is not an afterthought, but part of the foundation.
